Legal Services

When my daughter was diagnosed, I was already an attorney. But sitting on the other side of that IEP table taught me something no law school ever could. I bring both perspectives to every family I work with.

You shouldn't need a law degree to get your child what they need.

I work with individual families navigating the legal complexities that come with cognitive and developmental differences. Maybe your school district isn't following your child's IEP. Maybe you're trying to plan for your adult child's future and the paperwork feels impossible. Maybe you've been told "no" so many times you've stopped asking.

I'm the attorney who's lived this. My daughter is autistic. I was already practicing law when I found myself sitting in those meetings, reading those evaluations, fighting those fights as a parent. My legal training and my lived experience as a mom inform everything I do.

What I Do

Service Offerings

IEP & 504 Advocacy

Your child's Individualized Education Program is supposed to be a partnership between you and the school. When it isn't, I step in. I attend meetings with you, review plans, and make sure the district follows through on what they've promised.

Educational Rights & Due Process

When a school district violates your child's rights under IDEA or Section 504, you have options. I handle complaints, mediations, and due process hearings to hold districts accountable and get your child the services they're entitled to.

Guardianship & Alternatives

When your child turns 18, the law treats them as a full adult – ready or not. I help families understand guardianship, limited guardianship, and less restrictive alternatives so you can protect your loved one's future without taking away more autonomy than necessary.

Special Needs Planning

A standard estate plan can disqualify your child from benefits they depend on. I work with families to create special needs trusts and plan for long-term care, housing, and financial security – the things that keep you up at night.

Disability Rights

Discrimination happens in schools, workplaces, and public spaces. When it does, I help families understand their rights under the ADA, the Rehabilitation Act, and Florida law – and take action when those rights are violated.

The Process

How It Works

We Talk

Schedule a consultation and tell me what's going on. No preparation required – just bring what you know. I'll listen, ask questions, and help you figure out whether legal action is the right next step.

We Plan

If we decide to work together, I'll put together a clear strategy – what I'll do, what you'll need to do, and what to expect along the way. No surprises, no jargon.

We Move

I handle the legal work: drafting documents, communicating with schools or agencies, attending meetings and hearings. You stay informed at every step, but you don't have to carry it alone anymore.

Let's talk about what's next.

Schedule a consultation to discuss your family's situation. There's no obligation and no judgment – just a conversation about your options.
