You know you a child has become an adult when you are no longer consulted for birthdays. Every year, although I complained often, I thoroughly enjoyed planning FABULOUS parties for my daughters. Chloë, my older one LOVES celebrations and as a result took them to an entire new level. But this year was different. This year it was clear her father and I were not invited. Not to worry. I was going to see my daughter before she turned 26 at all costs. I just could but believe she was officially an adult- LIKE for real. I could not stop starring at her behind her back- which I am sure she felt because well I am just so proud of who she is! We had a beautiful weekend and I am so glad despite all the challenges she faced and continues to face and will face as a human, she continues to give of herself and accept people as they are. She is the perfect role model for her Autistic sister. WHEN did she be one an ADULT!
