My dad is very cool. This is a fact. But he is also extremely patient. I do not see him often but when I do I am grateful. Our children now young adults come in like a hurricane with a ton of energy. They have preferences of where they will go and what they will do. My father’s response is always the same- “ok”. Even when it is difficult for him he manages to push through to have this brief moment with our family. This Thanksgiving I needed his warmth and am grateful he was a soft landing for me. Sometimes caregivers need CARE. Patience is a virtue!
