My birthday was some time ago but I celebrate when celebrated. My older daughter kept sharing that she got me a gift -but if did not arrive timely and I was quietly sad. I LOVE suprises and I love gifts. When you are a parent of a person with Autism Spectrum Disorder it is incredibly important to have normalcy from time to time. The small act of gift giving creates that "typical" space.

Anyway - I never count my baby bear out! The gift arrived on the best day ever right when I needed a smile.
