This is what is never said about Autism- it comes with loneliness. Often times I do not have the words to share the many tasks I have to do in a day to care for our daughter. Most of the daily obligations are related to executive functioning but if you think about it that is what we do daily to exist. This season is awkward because our little girl is actually a young adult now and there is little to no support. BUT I am fortunate enough to have so many friends. LOVED ONES and FRIENDS I have cherished for over three decades and ones that are the song track to my life. This weekend -just when I needed them- THEY showed up. My daughter and I spent the weekend laughing, eating, shopping and enjoying uninterrupted fellowship. It was a reminder as I have said many times that I am NEVER alone!
