This summer has been transformative. I simply cannot believe how quickly society moves on. Just a year ago we had so much support -although I am mindful that it was quite difficult I am now cognizant that it is something. Now-just one year later it is like starting ALL over again. So I will TAKE the support. Renata Eastlick, a professional voice over actress and coach, came into my life at just the right time. She is kind and the perfect career coach and mentor for my young adult on the Spectrum- yet still there is so much to do and never enough time to do it. I started thinking about how to help other young adults social appropriately and I was overwhelmed. Thankfully we have people who care about our daughter and what life looks like for her past the K-12 space. Rene Flowers is one of those persons.

Rene is a County Commissioner and a member of our church. She has deep roots in our community and is purely authentic. During service she she recorded our daughter singing and shared it on her social media feeds. While it seemed like a simple act -it was much more. It was acknowledgment of our daughter’s humanity.
