My children love Halloween. Arguably they love all holidays but who does not love candy. This Halloween was the first one where we were not together. It was weird because we usually find some way to enjoy this day as a family- even though challenging.

Persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder can struggle with sensory issues. This means noises, lights, smells and environments can cause overstimulation. The FUN of Halloween was always an issue.

Over the years we worked around the ghouls, goblins and ghosts but it was candidly hard.

It is such a WIN to know our hard work was not for naught.

Halloween NEVER gets OLD for either of my girls!
